General Rebate Eligibility

1. Who qualifies for the rebate program?

Homeowners within the Pensacola Energy service area qualify when replacing or converting to natural gas appliances. Rebates are available for both new installations and gas-to-gas replacements for certain appliances.

2. Does the rebate apply to new construction?

No, rebates are intended for existing homes only.

3. What types of appliances are eligible?

Rebates are available for a variety of natural gas appliances, including water heaters, furnaces, fireplaces, stoves, dryers, generators, pool/spa heaters, grills, and even outdoor gas lights.

Process and Documentation

4. What documents are required to apply?

A completed rebate form and a copy of the appliance invoice are required. Installation permits and inspections must also be completed before applying.

5. Can I install the appliance myself?

Yes, but proper permits and inspections are mandatory.

6. How soon after installation can I apply?

Applications can be submitted after the appliance passes its required inspection.

7. How do I submit my rebate form?

Completed rebate forms and supporting documentation can be sent by email to mdesk@cityofpensacola.com. Or, they can be mailed to Pensacola Energy Marketing Department, 1625 Atwood Dr., Pensacola, FL 32514.

8. How much can I expect to receive in rebates?

Rebates vary by appliance, with some offering up to $1,200. The total rebate cap is $3,000 per household.

9. Do rebates cover installation costs?

Rebates are a set dollar amount and not in relation to the cost of the appliance or installation.

10. How is the rebate issued?

Rebate checks are mailed to the address specified on the application.

11. How long will it take to get my rebate?

Rebate checks are processed and mailed within six to eight weeks.

No, customers are free to choose their preferred brand and installer.

13. Is there a deadline to apply?

Yes, applications must be submitted within one year of the appliance installation date.

14. Does Pensacola Energy offer installation or sales services?

No, they do not provide installation, sales, or repair services for natural gas appliances.
